Ticket from the tractor Per client and field Directly invoiceable

Custom contractor work ticket software

Appfront builds software that enables agricultural contracting firms to record work done on the tractor: client, field, machine, hours or hectares, materials used and any particulars, in a ticket the driver completes in the cab and which flows to invoicing without manual retyping. With the client's field data to hand, and the manure and materials records your client will later need.

What is software for recording contracting tickets?

Contracting ticket software records for each job what was done: for which client, on which field, with which machine and which driver, how many hours or hectares, and what was used in terms of manure, seed or materials. The driver completes the ticket in the cab, the planner checks it, and the ticket becomes an invoice line against the agreement in place with that client. Whatever the client needs for his own records is provided to him as well.

Without such a system, the driver writes up the ticket in the evening from memory, or not at all. Hectares are estimated, a field gets confused with the neighbour's, and invoicing falls weeks behind because the tickets are lying in the cab. And when the client asks how much manure was spread on which field for his declaration, the searching begins.

We build custom software because contract farming work differs from one business to another. Some charge per hectare, others per hour, and others per bale or per tonne. One client wants a ticket per field, another per season. The recording of manure and crop protection products also has requirements that vary from job to job. Those arrangements belong in the software, not in the planner's head.

Ticket in the cab

Choose the client, field and machine, enter hours or hectares, add products and notes, attach a photo of the job, and you're done. It also works without a signal in the field.

Rates per client and type of work

Per hectare, per hour, per tonne or per bale, at the rate agreed with that client. The ticket becomes an invoice line straight away.

Records for the client

Manure, seed and crop protection products per field and per date, in an overview the client can use for their own administration.

How we build your contract farming ticket recording software

We start with the ticket as the driver currently creates it, and with the way you invoice. That is where the difference lies between an app that gets used and one that ends up left in the cab.

1
Mapping out types of work and rates

Which jobs you carry out, how each is charged, and which clients have their own arrangements. We also look at what the client wants to see back: fields, quantities, products.

2
Building the slip

On a tablet or phone in the cab, with the customer and their fields preloaded, the machine picked from the schedule, and fields that differ per type of work. It works without signal and syncs as soon as there is a connection.

3
Checking and invoicing

The planner sees the day's tickets, approves them or asks for changes, and the tickets become invoice lines in your accounting package. Per client, per period, with the tickets attached.

4
Records and taking over management

Overviews per customer for manure and products, and integration with field data. After that we take over the software's maintenance.

What contract farming ticket recording software actually does

The components below come up at almost every contract farming business. Which ones you need depends on your types of work and on what your clients ask for.

Ticket per job

Client, field, machine, driver, type of work, quantity, products, photo and notes, in the order the driver fills them in.

Client's fields

The fields for each client, by name and area, so the driver selects rather than types and the hectares are correct.

Works without signal

The job ticket is stored on the device and synced as soon as there is a connection, with the actual time of the job.

Scheduling integration

The job from the schedule becomes the ticket: machine, driver and client are already filled in. Anything that differs is made visible.

Invoicing

Tickets become invoice lines per client and period at the agreed rates, with the tickets as the specification.

Manure and crop protection product records

Per client and field, what has been spread or sprayed, with date and quantity, as an overview for the client's own reporting.

Who we build contract farming ticket recording software for

The software is intended for contract farming businesses where tickets are currently late, incomplete or not made at all, and where invoicing is therefore falling behind.

Arable contract farming businesses

Sowing, spraying, harvesting and soil cultivation per hectare, for clients with many fields. Choosing the field on the ticket prevents most errors.

Contract work in livestock farming

Mowing, chopping, ensiling and manure spreading, often per hour or per tonne. Recording manure per field is what the client asks for.

Mixed contract farming businesses

Several types of work, each with its own charging and its own fields on the ticket. The software adapts the ticket to each type of work.

Contract businesses with groundworks

Alongside agricultural work, also land improvement work per hour or per cubic metre. One ticket for both, with different rates.

Why choose Appfront for your contract work job card software?

A job card only gets filled in if it takes a minute in the cab. That is where our work lies.

Built for the cab

Large buttons, selection lists instead of typing, and the client with their fields pre-loaded. A card that takes two minutes simply doesn't get completed.

Your billing, not a standard template

Per hectare, per hour, per tonne, different for every client. The software knows your agreements, so the card becomes the right invoice line straight away.

Your accounts remain the source of truth

Job cards become invoice lines in the package you already use. The software is not a second set of books.

Security and privacy in contract work job card software

Job cards contain client data: fields, quantities, prices. A driver sees only their own jobs, the planner sees everything, and the client sees only their own cards and records. Every card is logged with who made it, when and where.

A card that has been approved and invoiced is no longer changed; a correction is a new card referring to the original. Manure and product records are kept with their dates, so your client can produce them later if needed.

Frequently asked questions about contract work job card software

Questions contractors ask before getting started.

It lets the driver record, in the cab and per job, what was done: client, field, machine, hours or hectares, products used, a photo and a note. The planner checks it, and the card becomes an invoice line according to the agreement with that client. What the client needs for their manure or product records is provided as a summary.

Yes. The job ticket is stored on the tablet or phone and synced as soon as there is a connection again, with the time of the job itself. This is a requirement from the start, not an afterthought setting.

From the client's own data, loaded per client with name and area. The driver picks the field from a list or on a map, and the hectares are already filled in. This prevents mixing up a neighbour's field and estimating areas by eye.

Yes, that is the starting point. Rate and unit are set per client and per type of work: hectare, hour, tonne, bale or cubic metre. The card therefore becomes the correct invoice line immediately, even when the same job is billed differently for two clients.

Yes. Approved cards become invoice lines in your accounting package, per client and per period, with the cards as the specification. We connect to the package you use.

Yes, through their own login or a periodic summary. The client sees their jobs, quantities per field and the manure and products used, and can use that for their own returns. That saves you phone calls at the end of the season.

The planner sees it: a job in the schedule without a card appears at the top of the day's list. The card can still be created from the schedule, with the machine and client already filled in. Forgotten cards are lost revenue, and that is exactly what the list prevents.
