Custom software development for demolition companies.

Custom software for demolition, asbestos removal and remediation companies, and processors of construction and demolition waste. Project administration, LMA notifications, BRL workflows, equipment planning and a customer portal, all in one environment that fits your work processes, rather than the other way round.

Demolition is a chain, and your software should be too.

A demolition project is rarely just demolition. There's an asbestos survey beforehand, a waste stream behind it, a client who wants to see progress, and an inspector who expects every tonne of rubble to be traceable. Off-the-shelf packages usually cover two of those four links, and the rest ends up in Excel, on WhatsApp or in folders on a shared drive. That costs you margin and evidence when the auditor comes calling.

We build software for demolition firms, asbestos removal specialists, soil remediation companies, recyclers, container companies and survey agencies that want to move beyond spreadsheets. One system for project administration, material flows, LMA notifications to the Dutch National Waste Notification Point (Landelijk Meldpunt Afvalstoffen), equipment planning and the client portal, integrated with your weighbridge, your accounts and, if needed, a field service app for on-site execution.

Having your own environment is not a luxury. The Bouw- en sloopafvalregeling (construction and demolition waste regulation), the Activiteitenbesluit (Environmental Activities Decree), the Asbestverwijderingsbesluit (Asbestos Removal Decree), SC-540, SC-530, BRL 7000 and BRL SVMS-007 together set dozens of requirements that your work process runs into every day. A system that turns those requirements into concrete input fields, sign-off points and automatic notifications prevents compliance from becoming a separate job alongside the real work on site.

The companies we build for.

Demolition firms, from small demolition contractors to national players. From a municipal demolition project in Zaandam to infrastructure demolition at a viaduct or a phased demolition of a residential district. The workflow is the same: survey, demolition plan (V&G plan), physical demolition, waste streams, final assessment.

Asbestos removal specialists holding an SC-540 certificate, for whom every action must be traceable from the risk survey through to the clearance measurement by an accredited inspection body. We model the SC-540 flow so that the DTA (asbestos technical supervisor), the DAV (asbestos removal supervisor) and the site manager see exactly the fields they need to complete, and nothing more.

Asbestos survey firms that work to SC-540/SC-530 and sell the survey as a standalone product. For them we often build a lighter platform focused on reporting, sample registration and data exchange with demolition or remediation contractors further down the chain.

Soil remediation contractors with BRL 7000 certification and the associated NEN 5740 measurement regime. The system accounts for the specific logic of remediation targets, environmental supervision and evaluation reporting to the competent authority.

Recycling and granulate producers who turn demolition concrete, asphalt and masonry rubble into a saleable product under SVMS-007. For them, the focus is on material flows, weighbridge integrations and sales administration for outgoing granulate.

Container and haulage companies for whom waste logistics is the core process. VIHB registration, route planning, container location administration and the digital consignment note form the core system.

Dismantling companies that take apart machinery, vessels, wind turbines or solar farms. The same compliance layer, but with a stronger focus on reusable components and the second-hand parts market.

If you also handle soil and dredging spoil, an accreditation requirement applies that is separate from demolition itself. For what that means for your administration, see the page on software for managing your Kwalibo accreditation.

Three flavours of demolition software.

Which one fits depends on the stage your business is at and which links in the chain you run yourself. In the first conversation we advise which variant will deliver the most value.

When custom is the right choice.

We keep seeing four patterns at demolition, asbestos and recycling companies. If you recognise one of them, we'd be glad to talk further.

Compliance

BRL audits take too much time

The annual KIWA audit for SC-540 or BRL SVMS-007 means a week of printing out files. You want the workflow to build the evidence as it goes, rather than having a quality officer reconstruct it afterwards.

Waste streams

LMA notifications are done by hand

Someone submits data to the Dutch National Waste Notification Point (Landelijk Meldpunt Afvalstoffen) every week, sometimes with errors. A direct integration from your project administration makes that unnecessary and prevents rejected submissions.

Plant & equipment

Crane scheduling on a whiteboard

Cranes, containers and crusher units are scheduled via WhatsApp and a physical board. Conflicts only surface once the driver is already on the road. A proper planning module makes utilisation and margin visible.

Clients

Main contractors ask for a portal

Contractors and municipalities expect a digital file per project: photos, weighbridge tickets, clearance measurements, progress. If you can't deliver that, you're out of the running for tenders. A proprietary client portal solves this in one go.

How an engagement works.

1

Introduction & intake

A conversation in which we learn which certifications you hold (SC-540, BRL 7000, SVMS-007, VIHB), which waste streams you process and which systems are already in place: your accounts, weighbridge software, and any existing ERP.

2

Workshop & scope

With your quality coordinator, planner and management, we map out the workflow from quote to final assessment. By the end of a few days you have a scope, a timeline and the first screen flow.

3

Building in sprints

Every two weeks, a working build your team can test straight away: project administration first, then LMA, then planning, then the portal. We build in the order where the pain is greatest.

4

Pilot on one project

We put one live demolition or remediation project fully into the system. That shows you in practice what works and what needs refining before rolling it out across the whole organisation.

5

Rollout & support

Phased rollout across all projects, training for office and site staff, and an ongoing maintenance contract covering security, further development and integrations with systems that come along later.

The modules we build most.

Building blocks that come up in almost every implementation, combinable into the configuration that fits your certifications, your equipment and the chain you operate in.

Project module

Building survey & planning

A file per project holding the building survey, risk assessment, milestones and sign-off points. Documents, photos and drawings in one place, linked to the right phase.

Asbestos

Survey & remediation

The full SC-540/SC-530 process digitised: from the survey report by an independent firm, through the remediation plan and containment, to final assessment and clearance measurement. With an audit trail for every action.

Material flows

From demolition concrete to aggregate

Every waste stream (demolition concrete, asphalt, wood, metal, gypsum, asbestos) gets its own route with EURAL code, destination and processor. For recyclers, also the step from waste stream to saleable aggregate product.

LMA

Notifications to the Landelijk Meldpunt

Automated notifications to the LMA based on your registered streams, with return confirmations, error messages and corrections handled directly in the project file.

Reporting

VIHB & SVMS reporting

Periodic reports for your VIHB registration, the BRL SVMS-007 audit and the final report to clients. Generated with one click, from date through to sign-off.

Security

RI&E, V&G & ARBO

A current health and safety plan for each project, based on the risk assessment. Toolbox meetings, incident logging and the Working Conditions obligations under the Asbestos Removal Decree, all in one workflow.

Plant & equipment

Crane & container planning

Drag-and-drop planning for cranes, crushers, containers and drivers, with conflict detection and an occupancy overview. Employees and subcontractors receive their schedules via the mobile app.

Customer portal

Client access

Municipalities, housing associations and main contractors log in to their own environment and see progress, photos, weighbridge tickets and final reports per project. Single sign-on and role management per user.

Logistics

Transport & disposal flow

From order intake to route and weighbridge ticket: the entire transport chain between your site and the processor (or, in the granulate chain, between you and the buyer) handled digitally, optionally integrated with your order management system.

Weighbridge

Tipping & disposal flow

Direct processing of weighbridge data through integrations with the most common weighbridge systems. No duplicate entry, no manual retyping, no unexplained discrepancies between office and site.

The compliance layer, built in.

Demolition is one of the most heavily regulated sectors in the Netherlands. A good system turns those rules into a workflow, not a stack of manuals nobody reads. Here is a selection of what comes standard in our implementations.

  • Construction and demolition waste regulationMandatory separation of demolition waste streams, notification to the municipality, and registration of destination per fraction, processed automatically from project administration.
  • Asbestos Removal Decree & SC-540Risk class determination, containment requirements, personnel registration (DTA, DAV), final inspection and clearance measurement by an accredited laboratory. Every step has a sign-off moment and an audit trail.
  • BRL SVMS-007 (demolition)A workflow that enforces the process requirements of the demolition certificate: employee qualifications, equipment inspections, health and safety procedures and the associated records.
  • BRL 7000 & NEN 5740For soil remediation: the remediation plan, execution under environmental supervision, sampling in accordance with NEN 5740, and the evaluation report to the competent authority.
  • VIHB registrationYour registration as a carrier, collector, dealer or broker (VIHB) is visibly linked to every waste stream it applies to. Ready for inspection by the ILT.
  • LMA notification obligationAccompanying letters and receipt and dispatch messages to the National Waste Notification Point (LMA) are created, sent and confirmed back from the system.
  • BVAA & sector protocolsFor clients affiliated with the BVAA or comparable trade associations: additional reporting fields and checklists that their audit protocols require.

Frequently asked questions.

What demolition, asbestos and recycling businesses usually want to know before we start.

Do you replace packages such as Smart-Demo or comparable industry software?
Sometimes, or as a supplement. Some demolition firms already use an industry package for project administration and have us add a layer on top for LMA integration, a customer portal or equipment planning. Other clients opt for one integrated custom system that replaces the industry package. Which route suits you depends on what the package already does well and where the real pain lies.
How does the integration with the National Waste Reporting Point (LMA) work?
We build a direct integration so that waste streams registered in your project administration automatically go to the LMA as a notification, including the correct EWC codes, VIHB numbers and waste holder details. Return confirmations come back into the project file, so you can find the entire notification trail in one place.
Does the system fully cover the SC-540 and BRL flows?
Yes. We model the steps prescribed by SC-540 (asbestos removal), SC-530 (asbestos survey), BRL 7000 (soil remediation) and BRL SVMS-007 (demolition) as a workflow within the system. That means mandatory fields, sign-off moments, photo documentation and an audit trail that the KIWA or NCP auditor can inspect directly. Every client has slightly different priorities, and we configure those accordingly.
How do you combine equipment planning with site operatives?
Crane and skip planning lives in the same environment as your project file. Site operatives receive their daily and task schedules through a mobile app, often based on our field service app, including time registration, photos and signing off work orders. Conflicts and changes are immediately visible to the planner.
Can we integrate the software with our weighbridge and accounts?
Yes, that is usually a standard part of the work. Common integrations include weighbridge software (Pfreundt, Schenck, Avery), accounting (Exact, AFAS, Twinfield) and geo systems for project sites. For more complex chains we often set up an integration layer, which we also describe on our page on smart API integrations.
What determines the cost of such a project?
The number of modules you need (project administration only, or also the BRL flow, planning and portal), the complexity of the integrations (LMA, weighbridge, accounting), and how far you want to carry over your existing processes without compromise. We phase the project into separate deliveries so the first value is in place before the whole is finished.
Do you also work with installation and remediation companies outside the demolition sector?
Yes. Project structure, equipment planning and the compliance flow overlap strongly with those of installation companies and other construction-related service providers. See our page on software for installation companies for the variant with service tickets and maintenance contracts, or the broader entry point via our web development page.
