Products with a current authorisation From advice to spray order Stock and reporting from the register

Custom spray registration and crop protection software

Appfront builds the office side of spray registration for growers, contractors and crop advisers: a product database with authorisations and conditions of use, an adviser's recommendation that becomes a spray order, the stock of products that runs alongside the records, and reports for buyers, certification and inspection. Recording what happens in the field is covered on our page about the spray registration app; this page is about what sits above it.

What is spray registration and crop protection software?

Crop protection is strictly regulated. A product must be authorised for the crop and the application, the conditions of use must be followed, and every spray must be recorded. Buyers and certification schemes also ask for reports. Field registration is one side; the other side is the office, where products, advice, stock and reports come together. That is the software we build.

In many businesses the product list lives in a spreadsheet that isn't updated when an authorisation changes. The adviser's recommendation arrives by email and is copied into a job by hand. The manager knows roughly what product is left in the store. And a buyer who asks for an overview of every spray applied to a batch gets an export that has been cleaned up manually.

We build custom software because the office has to fit your business: which crops and fields, which products and authorisations, how your adviser works, whether contractors spray for you, which certifications and buyers require reports, and which crop records you use. Whether a product may be used follows from its authorisation and conditions; the software helps keep that current and verifiable.

Products kept up to date

A product database with authorisations and conditions of use, with a signal when an authorisation expires or changes.

From advice to order

The adviser's recommendation as a spray order for the grower or contractor, and the record flowing back.

Stock and reporting

Stock of products from receipts and records, and reports by batch, field or buyer.

How we build your spray registration and crop protection software

We start with your business: which crops and products, how advice comes in, who sprays, and which reports are requested.

1
Mapping crops and products

Your crops and fields, products and authorisations, advisers, contractors, buyers and certifications.

2
Product database

Products with authorisation number, permitted applications and conditions, and alerts for changes.

3
Advice and orders

Advice as spray orders, records from the app or from contractors, and the stock that runs alongside.

4
Reporting and integrations

Reporting for buyers and certification, integration with crop registration and accounting, and ongoing management afterwards.

What spray registration and crop protection software actually does

The components below appear in almost every business that uses crop protection. Which ones you need depends on your crops.

Product database

Products with authorisation number, active substances and permitted applications.

Authorisations

An alert for an expiring or changed authorisation, with the affected products in stock.

Spray order

The advice as an order for grower or contractor, with field, product and dosage.

Registrations

Sprayings from the app or from contractors processed and checked.

Stock

Products per location from receipts and records.

Reporting

Reports per batch, field or buyer, for certification and inspection.

Who we build spray record and crop protection software for

The software is meant for businesses where field records are kept, but the office runs on spreadsheets.

Arable farmers

Many fields and crops. Products and batch reporting are the core.

Fruit growers

Many sprayings per season. Safety intervals and harvest matter most.

Contractors

Spraying for many clients. Orders and records per client are what is needed.

Crop advisory agencies

Advice for many growers. Turning advice into orders is the core.

Why choose Appfront for your spray record and crop protection software?

A product that is no longer authorised can make a batch unsaleable. We build on that: products that are current, advice that becomes orders, and reports that add up.

Authorisations kept current

A changed authorisation raises an alert, showing the products in stock and the fields where they are scheduled.

No manual re-keying

Advice becomes an order, and the record flows back. Nobody takes it over from an email.

Reporting on request

A report per batch or buyer comes from the records, not from a cleaned-up export.

Security and privacy in spray record and crop protection software

The software holds crop data, product use and client details of contractors and advisers. Access is set by role: the grower sees their own fields, the adviser their growers, and a buyer only the reports that are shared.

The software runs in a European data centre, with encrypted storage and daily backups. Records are kept for as long as the rules and certifications require.

Frequently asked questions about spray record and crop protection software

Questions growers, contractors and advisers ask before getting started.

It maintains a product database with authorisations and conditions of use, turns advice into spraying orders, processes records from the app or from contractors, keeps track of product stock, and produces reports for buyers and certification.

The app records the spraying in the field. This software manages what sits above it: products, authorisations, advice, stock and reports. The two work together.

Authorisations for plant protection products are granted in the Netherlands by the Ctgb and are public. In the first step, we look at which source and integration best suits your business.

Yes. An expired or changed authorisation gives a signal, using the products you have in stock and the plots where they are planned. What you may then do follows from the rules; discuss that with your adviser.

Yes, if you wish. The advice becomes a spraying order for the grower or contractor, and the record comes back to the adviser.

Yes. A contractor receives the job and delivers the record, either through the app or through an integration with their own software.

Check that first. Many packages record sprayings and keep track of products, and that is enough if you run a single business without an adviser or contractor. Custom development makes sense when advice, contractors and reporting for several buyers come together.
