Record asbestos work once From survey to final assessment across the chain Project status returned to you

Custom LAVS integration development

Appfront builds integrations between business software and the Landelijk Asbestvolgsysteem (LAVS), the national asbestos tracking system in which clients, asbestos survey firms, removal contractors, final inspection firms and regulators record their part of an asbestos project. We connect your own software to the LAVS, so that projects, surveys, removals and final inspections don't have to be entered twice, and the status of each project flows back into your own system.

What is a LAVS integration?

The Landelijk Asbestvolgsysteem (LAVS) is a web application in which asbestos removal is tracked by every party in the chain: clients, survey firms, removal contractors, final inspection firms and regulators. This gives them all the same information. Certified companies record their work in it. If you handle a lot of projects, you want to do that from your own software. The LAVS offers an interface for exactly that.

Without an integration, every project is recorded twice: once in your own software for planning, report and invoice, and once in the LAVS. Parts of a survey report are retyped. Someone has to check whether a project has the right status in the LAVS. With many projects a week, this becomes a task in itself, with a risk of errors that surface during an inspection.

We build custom integrations because the connection has to match your role in the chain and your software: whether you survey, remove or perform final inspections, how your projects and reports are structured, which data the LAVS expects from you, and what you want to see returned. For connecting business software, the LAVS provides a test environment; we test the integration there before it goes live.

Record once

Projects, inspections, removals and final assessments from your own software to the LAVS, without retyping.

Report in the chain

Parts of the survey report via the LAVS interface, so the next party in the chain can continue with it.

Status returned

The status of each project in the LAVS returned to your own system, so you can see where it stands and what still needs doing.

How we build your LAVS integration

We start with your projects: what role you play in the chain, how many projects you handle each week, and how recording in the LAVS currently works.

1
Mapping your role and software

Your role in the chain, your software, project structure and reports, and the data the LAVS expects.

2
Build integration

The LAVS interface connected to your software, for the data that belongs to your role.

3
Testing in the test environment

Testing with real projects in the LAVS test environment before the integration goes live.

4
Go-live and management

Go-live, monitoring of messages, and management of changes to the LAVS or your software.

What a LAVS integration actually does

The components below come up in almost every LAVS integration. Which ones you need depends on your role in the chain.

Projects

Projects and assignments from your software to the LAVS, with the associated data.

Discovery

Parts of the survey report via the LAVS interface.

Removal

Planning and execution of the removal recorded, with the status in the LAVS.

Final assessment

The final assessment and its result, so the project can be closed.

Status returned

The status per project from the LAVS returned to your software.

Audit log

Per project and message, what was sent and with what result.

Who we build LAVS integrations for

The integration is intended for parties in the asbestos chain with a high volume of projects.

Inspection companies

Many inspections with reports. The report in the chain is central.

Asbestos removal contractors

Removals based on inspections carried out by others. Projects and status matter most.

Final assessment companies

Assessments after removal. Recording the result is what matters.

Clients with many projects

Housing associations and property managers. The overview per project is central.

Technology and integrations

This page is about the integration with the LAVS. For on-site inspections, see our page on an inspection app; for construction companies, our page on construction company software; and for housing associations, our page on housing association software. You can read about our approach on software development.

Why Appfront for your LAVS integration?

A project that is incorrect in the LAVS will come back at an audit. We build on that: record it once, keep the chain moving, and always have visibility of the status.

No duplicate work

What is in your software goes to the LAVS. Nobody retypes it.

Fewer errors

Data from a single source. What appears in the LAVS matches your report and planning.

Overview per project

The status within the chain is visible in your own system.

Security and privacy in a LAVS integration

The integration processes project data, addresses, reports and personal data of parties in the chain. Access credentials for the LAVS are stored encrypted and used only by the integration.

The integration runs in a European data centre, with encrypted storage, daily back-ups and a log of every message.

Frequently asked questions about a LAVS integration

Questions that businesses in the asbestos sector ask before getting started.

The Landelijk Asbestvolgsysteem (National Asbestos Tracking System) is a web application that tracks asbestos removal across the parties in the chain: clients, survey companies, removal contractors, final inspection firms and regulators.

Yes. The LAVS has an interface and a test environment for connecting business software. Which data you can supply via the integration depends on your role in the chain.

Certified survey and removal companies record their work in it. What applies to your business specifically follows from the regulations and your certification; please discuss this with your certifying body or adviser.

The demolition notification is submitted via the Omgevingsloket, which is linked to the LAVS. This integration is about recording your work in the LAVS from your own software.

Yes, in the LAVS test environment, using real projects, before it goes live.

Yes. The status of each project is retrieved, so you can see in your own system where a project stands in the chain.

For businesses with many projects and their own software for planning, reporting and invoicing. With a few projects a month, using the LAVS directly is often sufficient.

Record asbestos work once, in your software and in the LAVS?

Tell us about your role in the chain, how many projects you handle and which software you use. We'll show you what the integration would look like.
