Candidates and vacancies in one place Placements passed on to hours and payroll Via the Carerix GraphQL API

Custom Carerix integration

Appfront builds integrations with Carerix, the recruitment and staffing system in which agencies manage candidates, vacancies, clients and placements. For temp agencies, secondment firms and recruitment agencies with their own website, time registration, payroll administration or reporting, we build the link via the Carerix API, so candidates and placements are not transferred by hand.

What is a Carerix integration?

Carerix is a recruitment and staffing system: an ATS and a CRM in one. Agencies use it to manage candidates, vacancies, clients and placements. For integrations, Carerix offers a GraphQL API, which replaces the older REST API. Access is via OAuth 2.0, with a client created in Carerix itself, and through webhooks Carerix reports changes to another system immediately.

An agency rarely works in Carerix alone. Vacancies need to appear on your own website and on job boards, and applications need to go back to the right record. A placement needs to be passed on to time registration and payroll, where the contract and rate are entered again. And anyone who wants to know which recruiter achieves how many placements ends up combining exports in a spreadsheet.

We build custom because agencies differ: which systems run alongside Carerix, which system is leading for which data, and who needs to see what. Which data the API offers for your situation and which permissions the client needs, we look at in the first step, together with you.

How we build your Carerix integration

We start with your agency: which systems do you use alongside Carerix, which system is leading for candidates, clients and placements, and where is the most data currently transferred. We often start with vacancies and applications, because they are the most visible to candidates. The placement link to time registration and payroll follows once the first integration runs well. That way you quickly see whether the integration saves time, and afterwards we maintain it when Carerix or your own systems change. We also take the API's limits into account, so large volumes of data are processed neatly in batches.

What a Carerix integration actually does

The components below appear in almost every Carerix integration. Which ones you need depends on your agency.

Vacancies

To your own website.

Applications

Back in the right record.

Placements

On to hours and payroll.

Clients

In sync with your CRM.

Reporting

Placements per recruiter.

Log

Every message recorded.

Who we build a Carerix integration for

The integration is intended for agencies that work with Carerix alongside other systems. The more candidates and placements, the more time an integration saves.

Temping agencies

Many placements. Passing them on to hours and payroll matters most.

Secondment firms

Long assignments. Contract and rate are what matter most.

Recruitment and selection

Lots of applications. The website matters.

Software suppliers

A product alongside Carerix. The API is what matters most.

Why Appfront for your Carerix integration?

An application entered by hand in Carerix, and a placement re-entered in the payroll system, cost time and lead to errors in contract and rate. That is what we build on: one record per candidate, placements that carry through, and an integration on the Carerix API.

No retyping

Candidates arrive automatically.

Correct rates

Taken from the placement, not entered again.

Security and privacy in a Carerix integration

The integration processes personal data of candidates and employees, such as CVs, contact details and rates. We only use the data that is needed, access credentials are stored encrypted and used only by the integration, and every message is logged.

The integration runs in a European data centre, with encrypted storage and daily backups. We record the processing in a data processing agreement.

Frequently asked questions about a Carerix integration

Questions practices ask before they get started.

Carerix is a recruitment and staffing system, an ATS and a CRM in one. Agencies use it to manage candidates, vacancies, clients and placements, from the first application through to the placement.

Via the Carerix GraphQL API. Access is through OAuth 2.0, with a client that is created in Carerix and given the permissions the integration needs. Through webhooks, Carerix reports changes immediately, so the integration does not have to keep checking whether anything has changed.

For new integrations, Carerix recommends the GraphQL API, which replaces the REST API. If you currently have an integration on the old API, we can migrate it. We first look at what the existing integration does, so that nothing is lost.

Yes. Vacancies go from Carerix to your website, and an application comes back into the candidate's record, with the CV and the vacancy they applied for. If the candidate already exists, the existing record is updated rather than a second one being created.

Yes. A placement goes to your time tracking or payroll system together with the employee, the client, the contract and the rate. If the placement is changed or ended in Carerix, that change is passed on too.

The integration reports it and records what went wrong. The message is retried or queued for review, so no candidate or placement is lost or arrives twice. We take the API's limits into account, so large volumes are processed neatly in batches.

For staffing agencies, secondment firms and recruitment agencies that use Carerix alongside their own website, time tracking, payroll or reporting, and for software vendors who want to connect their product to Carerix. If an existing integration already does what you need, we first check whether it is sufficient.
