Custom Optiply integration
Appfront builds integrations with Optiply, the software that gives purchasing advice based on sales and stock. Optiply has standard integrations with Shopify, WooCommerce, Lightspeed, Exact, AFAS and Picqer, among others. For online shops, wholesalers and brands with their own ERP, WMS or custom system, we build the connection via the Optiply API, so that sales, stock and purchase orders flow through automatically.
What is an Optiply integration?
Optiply calculates when and how much you need to buy from which supplier. To do that, it needs your sales history, current stock, products, and suppliers with their lead times and minimum order quantities. Optiply pulls this data through standard integrations with Shopify, WooCommerce, Lightspeed, Exact, AFAS and Picqer, among others, and also has its own API.
If your sales or stock run in a system without a standard integration, the problems start with the data. An export uploaded once a week produces advice based on outdated stock. Products that have different names in the ERP and the online shop get counted twice. And a purchase order approved in Optiply is then entered by hand in the ERP and with the supplier.
We build custom integrations because businesses differ: which systems handle sales and stock, which system is the master for products and suppliers, and how purchase orders reach the supplier. What the API offers for your situation, we look at in the first step, together with you.
Advice based on current data
Sales and stock flow to Optiply automatically.
Orders without retyping
Approved purchase orders sent back to your system.
Via the Optiply API
An integration built on the API that Optiply provides.
How we build your Optiply integration
We start with your stock and purchasing: which systems handle sales and stock, which system is the master for products and suppliers, how purchase orders are handled now, and where the retyping happens. We often begin by sending products, stock and sales to Optiply, because the advice is only as good as the data. Sending purchase orders back to your system and to the supplier follows once the first integration is running well. After that, we maintain the integration when Optiply or your own systems change.
Systems, data and which one is leading.
What the Optiply API offers you.
Data out, orders back.
Go-live, monitoring, and maintenance when things change.
What an Optiply integration actually does
The components below appear in almost every Optiply integration. Which ones you need depends on your purchasing.
Products
One source, no duplicates.
Stock
Up to date, per location.
Sales
History for the advice.
Suppliers
Lead times and minimum order quantities.
Purchase orders
Back to your system.
Log
Every message recorded.
Who we build an Optiply integration for
The integration is intended for businesses that use Optiply alongside a system without a standard integration. The more products and suppliers you have, the more time an integration saves.
Webshops
Many products. Current stock matters most.
Wholesalers
Own ERP. Sending orders back is the core.
Brands
Multiple channels. A single view of sales matters.
Software suppliers
A product alongside Optiply. The API is the core.
Technology and integrations
This page is about integrations with Optiply. For stock across multiple channels, see our page on multichannel stock synchronisation, for the warehouse our page on the Picqer integration, and for purchasing as a whole our page on purchasing software. Why Appfront for your Optiply integration?
Purchasing advice based on last week's stock, and an approved order that is then retyped by hand, cost a buyer time and lead to overstock or stockouts. That is what we build against: advice based on current data, orders without retyping, and an integration built on the Optiply API.
Up to date
Advice based on today's stock.
No retyping
Orders go back automatically.
One source
No duplicate products.
Security and privacy in an Optiply integration
The integration processes business data: sales, stock, purchase prices and suppliers. Access credentials are stored encrypted and used only by the integration, and every message is logged.
The integration runs in a European data centre, with encrypted storage and daily backups. We record the processing in a data processing agreement.
Frequently asked questions about an Optiply integration
Questions that webshops and wholesalers ask before they get started.
Optiply is software that gives purchasing recommendations based on sales, stock and supplier data: when and how much to order from which supplier. The buyer approves the recommendation and turns it into a purchase order.
Yes, including with Shopify, WooCommerce, Lightspeed, Exact, AFAS and Picqer. If your systems are on that list and the integration does what you need, custom work isn't necessary. A custom integration is for an ERP, WMS or custom system that isn't on it.
Via the Optiply API. Products, stock, sales and suppliers flow from your system to Optiply, and approved purchase orders come back. Which data can flow in each direction, and how often, is something we look at in the first step.
As up to date as you need. Stock and sales can be updated several times a day or on every change, so the recommendation isn't based on outdated figures. We tune the frequency to your volume and the limits of the systems involved.
Yes, if you want that. An approved order goes to your ERP and can be sent from there, or directly, to the supplier by email, via a portal or through an integration with the supplier. You keep control of the approval.
The integration reports it and records what went wrong. The message is retried or queued for review, so no stock change or order is lost or arrives twice.
For webshops, wholesalers and brands that use Optiply alongside their own ERP, WMS or custom system, and for software vendors who want to connect their product to Optiply. If you only work with packages that already have a standard integration, we'll first check whether that is enough.
Then we define which system is the source of truth and how products are matched, for example by article number or EAN code. That way a product isn't counted twice in the sales history, and the recommendation stays correct even if the webshop and the ERP use different names.
Optiply connected to your own systems?
Tell us which systems you use alongside Optiply and which data is currently transferred by hand. We'll show you what the integration would look like.
