Custom NWWI integration
NWWI validates home valuations for, among other things, mortgages with NHG. Valuers, intermediaries, lenders and housing associations work with it every day, but often alongside their own systems: the order in one, the status in another, the report as an email attachment. Appfront builds the connection between NWWI and your own software, so that orders, statuses and validated reports end up in the right place automatically.
What is an NWWI integration?
NWWI, the Nederlands Woning Waarde Instituut (Dutch Home Value Institute), validates valuation reports for homes. Following a series of mergers, it is now the single independent institute for this validation, recognised by the Stichting Waarborgfonds Eigen Woningen for mortgages with NHG. The standards for validation come from the Nederlands Register Vastgoed Taxateurs, and thousands of registered valuers are affiliated.
Many parties work together around a valuation. The adviser requests the valuation, the valuer writes the report in their valuation software, the NWWI validates it, and the lender or housing association uses the report. At every step, information is transferred: an address retyped, a status chased by phone, a report dragged out of an email into a file. With many cases a week, it adds up.
We build custom integrations because each party holds a different part of the chain. Which software you use, which data from the report you need and who has to see the status determines how the integration works. Which interfaces the NWWI offers for your role, and which agreements come with them, we look at together with you and the NWWI.
Orders without retyping
From your own software.
Status without calling
Validation visible immediately.
Report in the file
Data instantly usable.
How we build your NWWI integration
We start with your part of the chain: do you request valuations, produce them, or use the reports, and in which software does that happen? Then we look with you at which route the NWWI offers for your role and which access you need to arrange. We often start with the status and the validated report in your own file, because that is where most of the chasing and dragging happens. Orders from your software and data from the report follow once that runs well. Afterwards, we maintain the integration when the NWWI or your software changes.

What the NWWI offers.

Go-live, monitoring, and maintenance when things change.
What an NWWI integration actually does
The components below come up in almost every NWWI integration. Which ones you need depends on your role and your software.
Jobs
From your own software.
Status
From order to validation.
Reports
In the right file.
Data
Value and property extracted.
Alerts
On delay or rejection.
Log
Every message recorded.
Who we build an NWWI integration for
The integration is meant for parties that request, produce or use many valuations and no longer want to transfer the information by hand. The more files, the more it saves.
Mortgage advisers
Status in the advice file.
Lenders
Report with the application.
Valuation firms
Your own planning and software.
Housing associations
Valuations for sale.
Technology and integrations
This page is about integrations with the NWWI. For software for valuers, see our page on a valuation app, for the mortgage process our page on a mortgage portal, and for property data our page on the Kadaster integration. You can read about our approach on custom software development.
Why Appfront for your NWWI integration?
An address retyped incorrectly, a status chased by phone and a report stuck in an inbox all delay a mortgage or sale. That is what we build on: orders from your own software, the status without phoning, and the validated report straight into the file.
Completed faster
No waiting on email.
Fewer errors
No retyped addresses.
As agreed
Via the NWWI route.
Security and privacy in an NWWI integration
The integration processes personal and financial data: names, addresses, property values and sometimes mortgage details. We use only what is needed for the file, access is set up per role, and credentials and certificates are stored encrypted. Every message is logged.
The part we build runs in a European data centre, with encrypted storage and daily backups. We record the processing in a data processing agreement and align with the agreements the NWWI makes with connected parties.
Frequently asked questions about an NWWI integration
Questions that advisers, lenders and valuation firms ask before getting started.
The Nederlands Woning Waarde Instituut (NWWI) is the validation institute for property valuations. It checks that a valuation report has been drawn up in line with the standards, is recognised by the Stichting Waarborgfonds Eigen Woningen for mortgages with NHG (the National Mortgage Guarantee), and works with standards from the Nederlands Register Vastgoed Taxateurs.
The NWWI validates the report: it checks that it has been drawn up in line with the guidelines and that the justification holds up, partly by comparing it with model values. The valuer remains responsible for the value. Lenders accept a validated report.
Through the route the NWWI offers to connected parties for your role, or through valuation software that is already connected to the NWWI. In the first step we look at which data and messages are available and which agreements go with them, so you don't get stuck on a route that doesn't exist.
If the route allows it, yes. The integration retrieves the status of the order and validation and puts it in your own file, with an alert if something is delayed or rejected. That way nobody has to chase it up by phone.
Often, yes. Besides the report itself, the key data, such as the market value and the property's characteristics, can go into your mortgage or property software. Which data is available depends on the route and your role.
The integration reports it and records what went wrong. The message is retried or set aside for review, so no order or report is lost or ends up in your file twice.
For advisers, lenders, valuation firms and housing associations with their own software and many valuations per week. If you use software that is already connected to the NWWI and you're not missing anything, you don't need your own integration, and we'll tell you so.
