Liber from BCT with your own systems Cases and documents without retyping Via StUF or Liber's APIs

Custom Liber integration

Liber is BCT's case management platform, comprising a case management system, a message centre, a case warehouse and a customer contact system. It offers interfaces based on StUF and an open infrastructure with APIs. Appfront builds the integration with the systems that are not yet connected to it, so cases, statuses and documents are no longer transferred by hand.

What is a Liber integration?

Liber is a BCT platform for case-based working in government. It consists of a case management system, a message centre, a case warehouse and a customer contact system, with portals for case handlers and front-desk staff. BCT also makes the document management system Corsa, and the two are often used side by side.

Liber integrates through interfaces based on StUF, such as StUF-ZKN, and has an open infrastructure with APIs. Even so, work is still left over. A request submitted via the website arrives as an email and is retyped. A line-of-business application doesn't know which case it belongs to. Residents can't see the status, and management information is compiled from exports.

We build custom integrations because every organisation has different systems alongside Liber. Which line-of-business applications, which portal, which archive and which figures need to go where determines how the integration works. Which interfaces your version of Liber offers is something we look into together with you and BCT.

How we build your Liber integration

We start with your organisation: which systems run alongside Liber, which data is currently handled by hand, and which integrations already exist. Then we look at which interfaces your version of Liber offers and which arrangements you make with BCT. We often start with requests from the website becoming a case in Liber, because that's where most of the retyping happens. Statuses to the portal, line-of-business applications and the archive follow once that runs well. After that, we maintain the integration when Liber or your other systems change.

What a Liber integration actually does

The components below appear in almost every Liber integration. Which ones you need depends on your organisation and systems.

Creating a case

From website and form.

Statuses

To the resident's portal.

Documents

To the file and archive.

Line-of-business applications

Cases exchanged.

Reporting

Lead times and volumes.

Log

Every message recorded.

Who we build a Liber integration for

The integration is intended for government organisations that work with Liber alongside systems that aren't connected to it. The more cases and the more systems, the more it delivers.

Municipalities

Cases from front desk to archive.

Information management

Documents in the right place.

Customer contact centre

Status without searching.

Why Appfront for your Liber integration?

Applications that get retyped, line-of-business systems that know nothing about the case, and residents phoning to ask where things stand all cost a municipality time and trust. That's what we build on: cases arriving directly, the status visible to the resident, and an integration that follows the standards.

Less retyping

The case is there straight away.

Fewer phone calls

The resident sees the status.

As agreed

Security and privacy in a Liber integration

The integration processes data about residents and businesses, sometimes including special category personal data. We use only what the case needs, access is set up per role, keys and certificates are stored encrypted, and every message is logged.

The integration runs in a European data centre or in your own environment, with encrypted storage and daily backups. We record the processing in a data processing agreement and align with the security requirements that apply to your organisation.

Frequently asked questions about a Liber integration

Questions municipalities ask before getting started.

Liber is a BCT platform for case-based working in government. It consists of a case system, a message hub, a case warehouse and a customer contact system, with portals for case handlers and front-desk staff. BCT also makes the Corsa document management system.

Yes, Liber integrates via StUF interfaces and has APIs, and there are integrations with Corsa, among others. If your system already connects and does what you need, custom work isn't necessary, and we'll tell you so. A custom integration is for systems and processes that aren't covered.

Via Liber's interfaces, based on StUF or the platform's APIs. Which messages and data are available in your version, and which arrangements you make with BCT for them, we look at in the first step, so you don't get stuck on a route that doesn't exist.

Yes. An application submitted through a form on the website is created as a case in Liber, with the right case type, the applicant's details and the attachments. The case handler doesn't need to retype anything and the applicant receives a confirmation of receipt.

Yes, if you have a portal for it. The integration makes the case status available to the portal, so the resident can see which stage the application is at and your customer contact centre receives fewer enquiries.

The integration reports it and records what went wrong. The message is retried or queued for review, so no case is lost or ends up duplicated in Liber.

For municipalities and other government organisations that use Liber alongside line-of-business applications, portals and archives that aren't tied to it, and for suppliers who want to connect their application to Liber. If all your systems are already integrated and you're missing nothing, a custom integration isn't needed.
