Custom supply chain dossier for deforestation-free sourcing
If you buy timber, cocoa, coffee, soy, palm oil, rubber or cattle, or products made from them, you must be able to show that they do not come from deforested land. That evidence usually sits with suppliers, scattered across emails, certificates and reference numbers. Appfront builds a supply chain file for deforestation-free sourcing: for each supplier and each consignment, what has been supplied, what is missing, and which order and delivery it belongs to.
What is software for the supply chain file in deforestation-free sourcing?
The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) prohibits placing certain commodities and products on the market if they come from land that was deforested after 31 December 2020. Following the postponement in 2025, the obligations apply to large and medium-sized operators from 30 December 2026 and to small and micro enterprises from 30 June 2027. Whoever first places goods on the market carries out the due diligence and submits a statement. Anyone further down the chain who buys and sells mainly needs to be able to show which statement belongs to which consignment.
That is where it gets stuck in practice. The buyer receives a reference number from one supplier, a certificate from another and a PDF with coordinates from a third. It sits in a mailbox or a shared folder, not with the order. If a customer asks which evidence belongs to their delivery, or the regulator comes by, someone has to dig it up for each consignment. And a supplier that has supplied nothing only shows up once the goods have already arrived.
We build custom software because every supply chain is different. Which commodities you buy, whether you import yourself or buy from a European supplier, how consignments are combined and what your customers ask for all determine what the file needs to track. The system does not make the legal assessment for you; it makes sure the evidence you do have is in the right place and that it is visible what is missing.

How we build your software for the supply chain file in deforestation-free sourcing
We start with your supply chain: which commodities and products, which suppliers, what they currently supply, and what your customers ask for. Then we build a first version with the supplier request and the file per consignment, because that is where most of the searching happens. You use it for a while for part of your purchasing. Integrations with ERP and goods receipt, alerts, customer overviews and reporting follow once that works well. After that, we maintain the software as the rules or your supply chain change.

Why Appfront for your software for the supply chain dossier in deforestation-free sourcing?
A batch without evidence, a reference number attached to the wrong delivery or a customer question that takes a week to track down leaves a buyer exposed as soon as the obligations apply. That is what we build on: evidence per batch linked to the order, missing documents visible before the goods arrive, and an overview you can share straight away.
No more searching
Everything linked to the batch.
Warned in time
Before goods receipt.
Strong with customers
Evidence per delivery.
Security and privacy in software for the supply chain dossier in deforestation-free sourcing
The supply chain dossier contains supplier data, prices and sometimes producers' locations. Access is set up per role: a supplier only sees their own request, a customer only sees the evidence for their own deliveries, and every change is recorded with a name and timestamp.
The software runs in a European data centre, with encrypted storage and daily backups. Evidence is retained for as long as you need to be able to show it, so even years later you can demonstrate, batch by batch, what was in place.
Frequently asked questions about software for the supply chain dossier in deforestation-free sourcing
Questions buyers and traders ask before they get started.
A dossier per supplier and per batch containing the evidence that the raw material or product does not come from deforested land: reference numbers of due diligence statements, origin data and documents, linked to the purchase order, goods receipt and sale. This lets you answer questions from customers and the regulator without having to search.
Following the postponement under Regulation (EU) 2025/2650, they apply to large and medium-sized operators from 30 December 2026 and to small and micro enterprises from 30 June 2027. Check which role and which deadline apply to your own situation.
EUDR software is for operators who carry out due diligence themselves: collecting origin data, assessing risk and submitting the statement. The supply chain dossier is for those who receive evidence from others and need to maintain it per batch, such as a trader or a processor. Many companies need both.
Yes. A supplier receives a request per delivery or per period and submits reference numbers, documents and origin data themselves in a portal. You can see immediately what has come in and what is still missing.
Yes. Purchase orders and receipts come from the ERP, so the evidence is attached to the right batch. For sales, the reference number can be passed on to the customer. We'll look at which route fits in the first step.
No. The software collects the evidence, shows what is missing and flags deviations, such as a delivery without a reference number. The assessment stays with you or with the operator who submitted the declaration.
For companies with many suppliers and batches of commodities or products covered by the regulation, and for anyone whose customers ask for evidence per delivery. If you buy from a single supplier a few times a year, a well-kept folder may be enough.
Evidence per batch, without the searching?
Tell us which commodities you buy and how you currently collect evidence from suppliers. We'll show you how the supply chain dossier can handle it.
