Custom app for damage reporting and status updates from insurers
Appfront builds apps for insurance brokers and underwriting agencies that let their clients report and track claims themselves. The client reports with photos and the key questions, uploads quotes and invoices, and sees the status of the claim, updated whenever a message comes in from the insurer. We describe the file and message handling in the office on our software page; this page is about the app for the client.
What is a claim reporting and insurer message status app?
When a claim comes into a broker or underwriting agency by phone or email, the waiting begins. The claim goes to the insurer, an assessor is appointed, documents are requested, and meanwhile the client rings to ask how things stand. The answer is in the file and in the insurer's messages, but the client cannot see it. A client app changes that.
Without an app, the client reports the claim in an email with a few photos, and the handler calls back for the missing details. A repair quote is sent as an attachment and has to be filed in the claim. When the insurer sends a message, for example that an assessor has been appointed or that the claim has been paid, the handler has to phone or email the client. And every status enquiry from the client takes up time.
We build custom because the app has to fit your office: which claims file and policy system you use, how insurer messages come in, which types of claim you handle, and which house style the app must follow. The status in the app follows from the file at your office, so the customer sees what the handler sees, in their own words.
Reporting with photos
The customer reports the damage with photos and the questions that belong to that type of damage, linked to the correct policy.
Status without phoning
The status of the claim on the phone, updated whenever an insurer message comes in.
Documents through the app
Quotes, invoices and other documents uploaded in the app, straight into the claim file.
How we build your claim reporting and insurer message status app
We start with your claims flow: how many claims, how clients report now, which systems, and which questions come up most often.
Your types of claim, reports, claim file, policy system and insurer messages.
One report per type of damage, with photos and questions, linked to the policy.
Status from the file and messages, and documents uploaded in the app.
Push notifications at each new step, launch in your branding, and ongoing management.

Who we build a claim reporting and insurer message status app for
The app is intended for offices that receive a lot of questions about the status of claims.
Brokers
Private and business clients. Reporting and status are at the core.
Managing agents
Offices handling claims themselves. Documents through the app matter most.
Corporate claims departments
Fleets and businesses. Multiple claims per client are what's needed.
Offices with an existing app
A client app without a claims function. The extension is the core.

Why choose Appfront for your damage reporting and insurer-message status app?
A client who doesn't know where their claim stands calls you. That's what we build around: reporting with everything included, status on the phone, and documents that go straight into the file.
Fewer phone calls
The client can see the status and doesn't need to call.
Complete reports
Photos and questions for each type of damage, all in one go.
Faster handling
Documents go straight into the file, not into email.
Security and privacy for a damage reporting and insurer-message status app
The app holds data about clients, policies and claims, sometimes including information about injuries. Access is restricted per client, and every view and change is logged.
The app runs in a European data centre, with encrypted storage, daily back-ups and sign-in with strong authentication.
Frequently asked questions about a damage reporting and insurer-message status app
Questions that intermediaries and authorised agencies ask before getting started.
It lets the client report damage with photos and the right questions, submit documents, and follow the status of the claim, updated from the file and the insurer's messages. When there is a new step, the client receives a notification.
That software is for the office: one file per claim, processing insurer messages and monitoring deadlines. This app is for the client: reporting, submitting documents and seeing the status. The two work together on the same file.
Through the claims file in the office. When an insurer message is processed there, such as an assessment or a payout, the status in the app changes, in wording the client understands.
Yes, provided the policy system makes the client's policies available. When reporting, the client selects the right policy, so the handler doesn't have to look for it.
Repair quotes and invoices, photos, an official police report, or whatever the handler asks for. Each document goes straight to the claim in the file.
Yes. The app appears under your name and in your branding, in the app stores or as a web app, and can complement an existing client app.
Some insurers have their own claims app, but that only covers their own policies. An app from your office works for all your clients, with every insurer, and keeps the contact with you.
