Locally present, nationally accessible.

Many clients look for a local partner for their app, web or software project. That's understandable: a short journey makes introductions, sprint reviews and quarterly meetings less of a commitment. We're based in Amsterdam, but our clients are spread across the Randstad, North Brabant, Gelderland and beyond. For a good working relationship, it matters surprisingly little where you're located; what matters far more is how we structure the collaboration.

We are deliberately a remote-first agency. That doesn't mean we never meet in person; it means we organise our collaboration so that geography is no obstacle. When on-site work adds value (kick-offs, user research, complex stakeholder sessions), we come to you. For the rest, we work from our base in Amsterdam, with the same attention and pace as if we were sitting next to you. For clients in Haarlem, the Gooi or Utrecht, on-site work is just a few train stops away; for clients further afield, we schedule on-site work around major milestones.

On this hub page you'll find our location deep-dives. In them, we look at which services are most in demand locally in each city or region, the experience we're building there, and what a project with a client from that region typically looks like. Further down you'll also find information on how we practically organise our collaboration, from the first conversation through to the ongoing phase after going live.

What most clients ultimately value is not so much physical proximity as the reliability of the process. Whether you're in Amsterdam Noord or in Maastricht, you get the same weekly reporting, the same code quality and the same direct lines to the team. Geography then becomes a logistical question, not a risk.

When is a local partner relevant?

01
Trust

You want to meet the people

For many clients, a project starts with a conversation over the table. We are happy to come by for an introduction, or you are welcome to visit us at our office on the Westerdoksdijk. Either works: the conversation, the people and the chemistry matter more than the location.

02
Stakeholders

Many parties at the table

For projects involving multiple departments (management, IT, marketing, operations), on-site facilitation works better than a video call. For these sessions we schedule them in Amsterdam or at your location, with a clear agenda and concrete outcomes.

03
User research

Fieldwork and interviews

For mobile apps and internal tooling, we want to see end users at work. To do that, we travel to warehouses, offices or workplaces, wherever they are in the Netherlands. An hour of observation saves months of building on assumptions.

04
Regional context

Sector knowledge rooted locally

Media companies in Hilversum, manufacturers in Brabant, agri-tech in the east, fintech in Amsterdam: a local partner understands the context. We build that knowledge per region and share it across projects.

How we work: remote-first with on-site anchors.

Phase 01

On-site introduction

We start every collaboration with a conversation where we meet in person, either at our office on the Westerdoksdijk or at yours. It is non-binding, takes about an hour, and helps us decide whether there is a good fit. We discuss what you want to build, what you already have, who should be at the table and what the collaboration could look like. No sales pitch, just an exploratory conversation.

Phase 02

Remote sprints

During the build phase we work from Amsterdam. Weekly sprint reviews take place by call, with written demos and short videos. It is fast, efficient and well documented: your team loses no half-days to meetings, and you can look back at what was discussed. All progress sits on a shared board you can check at any time.

Phase 03

Quarterly on-site

Once a quarter, or at important milestones, we come on-site for a thorough review and strategic discussion. For longer-running projects this anchors the collaboration and ensures you and your team know the people who work on your product every day. For clients closer to Amsterdam, this often happens more frequently.

By region: focus and context.

NH
North Holland

Amsterdam, Haarlem, Hilversum

Our home base. A large share of our clients are in the Amsterdam, Haarlem and Gooi region, mostly media, scale-ups, fintech, professional services and cultural institutions. For clients in this region, on-site work is a train ride away, and we can visit more often when that helps.

UT
Utrecht

Centrally located hub

Many national organisations have their head office in Utrecht. For care providers, industry associations, SaaS companies and non-profits, we are a short train ride from Amsterdam. The location also makes Utrecht a logical meeting point for clients with teams in multiple locations.

ZH
South Holland

The Hague, Rotterdam, Leiden

Government and public sector in The Hague, maritime and logistics in Rotterdam, knowledge institutions in Leiden. We work with clients in all three cities, with attention to the specific compliance and procurement requirements each sector brings.

GD
Gelderland & Brabant

Manufacturing and agri

The manufacturing and food industry is spread across Brabant and Gelderland. For onsite sessions in Eindhoven, Nijmegen or 's-Hertogenbosch, we plan a full day — often a kick-off in the morning and a working session or shop-floor visit in the afternoon. For agri-tech clients, we travel to the cultivation or production site.

Travel times from Amsterdam.

Randstad corridor

Short hop

Haarlem in a quarter of an hour, Utrecht within half an hour, The Hague within three quarters of an hour. A morning session and back in the office by the afternoon is typical for these journeys. For clients in this region, we can schedule onsite moments closer together when a project calls for it — kick-off, demo and retrospective, all in person.

Brabant and East

Plan a day

Eindhoven, Nijmegen and Arnhem are a good two hours' journey one way. For these regions, we plan a full day — kick-off in the morning, working session in the afternoon, and possibly a tour or shop-floor visit. This makes the trip efficient and usually delivers more than two separate visits on different days.

North and South

Overnight stay or intensive

Groningen, Maastricht and Limburg require a bit more planning. For clients in these outlying areas, most working days are remote, with onsite visits at key milestones, sometimes including an overnight stay so we can work two days in a row. During the planning phase, we discuss which onsite moments add the most value.

Local context, widely shared.

One of the advantages of working from a single central base is that knowledge flows between projects. When we work on a POS integration for a Haarlem retailer, we learn patterns that are also useful for a webshop in Utrecht. An AI implementation for an insurer in The Hague gives us experience that we bring to a fintech in Amsterdam. Local pages describe the application; the underlying expertise is company-wide.

That is why we don't open a separate office in each region, but do build deeper pages for cities where demand is high. Demand is no excuse for fragmentation. A strong central team often produces better work than four small satellite teams working in isolation. For our clients in Amsterdam, this means short lines of communication; for clients in Haarlem and beyond, it means access to the same team, with onsite moments at the right points in the project.

For each city or region, we describe what we most often see requested locally, which parties and sectors are active there, and what a typical project looks like for a client from that area. If you click through to a location page, you'll find that story in detail — including contact details and a direct line to the people who work on it.

EU data residency — including for international clients.

A question we often get — regardless of where the client is based — is where the data ultimately resides. For us, it is standard to keep it within the EU. Hosting with European cloud providers (AWS Frankfurt or Ireland, Google Cloud Belgium, Hetzner, Scaleway), databases within the EU, and no automatic transfer to the US where it isn't necessary.

This is relevant for clients with an international parent company too: the Schrems II ruling and the evolution of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework make it sensible to set things up defensively. For custom software and app development, we build on EU infrastructure from the start. For LLM work, we use EU endpoints where available, or open-source models that we host ourselves.

That has a welcome side effect for clients in the public sector, healthcare and finance: around 80% of the compliance discussion is already sorted before the project begins.

Frequently asked questions.

Do you work across the Netherlands, or only around Amsterdam?
Across the whole of the Netherlands. We have clients in North Holland, Utrecht, South Holland, Gelderland, Brabant and beyond. Our office is in Amsterdam, but we plan on-site visits throughout the country. For clients further away (Limburg, Groningen), we tie on-site work to major milestones.
Do you come on-site for introductory meetings?
Yes. We usually hold an introductory meeting in person, either at our office at Westerdoksdijk 599 in Amsterdam or at your location. It's no-obligation, takes about an hour, and gives us both a chance to judge whether we're a good match. After that, we decide together how often on-site sessions will be useful for each project.
How often will we see each other during an ongoing project?
We hold sprint reviews remotely every week, which is efficient and easy to document. Quarterly reviews take place on-site. We also come on-site for kick-offs, user research and larger stakeholder sessions. We agree the exact rhythm for each project; some clients want more on-site time, while others prefer to work almost entirely remotely.
Will our data stay within the EU?
Yes, that is our standard. We host with European cloud providers (AWS Frankfurt/Ireland, Google Cloud Belgium, Hetzner, Scaleway) and keep databases within the EU. For AI and LLM work, we use EU endpoints where available or self-hosted open-source models. We discuss specific requirements, such as NEN 7510, BIO or ISO 27001, during the planning phase.
Do you have experience with regional government or semi-public organisations?
We have worked for both commercial clients and organisations in the semi-public and non-profit sectors. Regional government and implementing bodies bring additional requirements around procurement, privacy and architecture. We are familiar with these, so get in touch for an exploratory conversation about what fits your context.
What is the difference between you and a local agency in my city?
A local agency has the advantage of physical proximity, which is handy for frequent on-site work. We compensate for that with a stronger remote process, a broader team and experience across sectors. For projects where the quality of the build matters more than how often we meet over coffee, that is a good trade-off. For projects where weekly in-person contact is the deciding factor, we are often not the right choice, and we will say so in the introductory conversation.
Which services can we purchase depending on location?
All the services we offer from Amsterdam are available to clients across the country. That includes app development, custom software, AI implementation, web platforms and consultancy. Each location page highlights which services are most in demand locally, but our scope is company-wide and our capacity does not vary by region.
What does an on-site visit cost extra?
For clients in the Randstad, we don't charge for on-site visits separately; they are a standard part of the sprint rhythm. For longer journeys (eastern Brabant, eastern Gelderland, the North, Limburg), we agree during the planning phase which on-site moments add value and how to schedule them efficiently. No surprises at the end of the project.
