Weight straight from the weighbridge Every weighing ticket linked to stream and waste producer Ready for reporting and invoicing

Custom weighbridge ticket software for recycling

At a recycling company, every load starts at the weighbridge. Paper, plastic, wood, rubble or green waste arrives, is weighed, checked, and then accepted or rejected. Appfront builds software that records every weighing with the weight taken straight from the weighbridge, links the load to the waste producer, waste stream number and EWC code, and prepares the data for invoicing and reporting.

What is weighing ticket registration software for recycling?

At a recycling company's weighbridge, everything comes together. A lorry drives on, is weighed full and empty, and the difference is the weight of the load. That weighing comes with the waste producer, the waste stream number, the EWC code, the haulier and the registration number. Then the load is checked: does it match what was agreed, or is there something in it that shouldn't be?

At many companies this is still done with an old weighing program and paper. The weight is read off the display and retyped, the weighing ticket is printed and scanned in later, and rejections are jotted down on a slip of paper. At the end of the month, weighing tickets are gathered together for the invoices and the receipt notification, and missing or incorrect waste stream numbers only come to light then.

We build custom software because recycling companies differ: which streams, one weighbridge or several, which acceptance rules and which ERP. The software reads the weight straight from the weighbridge, checks the load against the agreements, and records everything in a way that is immediately usable for invoicing, reporting and analysis.

How we build your weighing ticket registration software for recycling

We start at the weighbridge: which streams come in, how a weighing works now, which weighbridge and indicator are in place, and which data belongs with a load. Then we define the acceptance rules per stream and look at how the weighbridge outputs data. We often start with the weighing itself and the weighbridge integration, because that is where time and errors add up every day. Acceptance with photos, the ERP integration and the data for the receipt notification follow. After that, we keep the software up to date as streams or rules change.

What weighing ticket registration software for recycling actually does

The components below appear in almost every weighing ticket registration system. Which ones you need depends on your streams and weighbridges.

Weighing

Straight from the weighbridge.

Load

Waste producer and registration number.

Stream

Waste stream number and EWC code.

Acceptance

Approve or reject.

Weighbridge ticket

Digital, with photos.

Monthly figures

For invoicing and reporting.

Who we build weighbridge ticket software for in recycling

The software is designed for companies that receive and weigh waste or recyclable streams. The more loads and streams you handle, the more it delivers.

Recycling companies

Many streams. Acceptance matters most.

Sorting stations

Intake and outbound. Both weighings count.

Crushing plants

Rubble per waste producer. Getting the right stream is what counts.

Recycling centres

Many small loads. Speed is key.

Why Appfront for your weighbridge ticket software in recycling?

Weights that are retyped by hand, and weighbridge tickets that are gathered together at the end of the month, cost a recycling company time every day and lead to errors in invoices and notifications. That is what we build around: weight straight from the weighbridge, every load assigned to the right stream, and a month that closes by itself.

No retyping

Errors caught early

Checked at the gate.

Month-end closes

Invoice and notification ready.

Security and privacy for weighbridge ticket software in recycling

The software processes data about waste producers, carriers, licence plates and loads. Access is set up per role, photos are used only for acceptance, and every weighing and change is logged with who made it and when.

The software runs in a European data centre, with encrypted storage and daily backups. Data you are required to retain remains available. We record the processing in a data processing agreement.

Frequently asked questions about weighbridge ticket software in recycling

Questions recycling companies ask before getting started.

Often, yes. Most weighing indicators can pass the weight on to software. We look at which weighbridge and indicator you have and how it outputs data in the first step. For certified weighings, the certified instrument remains the source of the weight.

With scrap, the company usually buys in and pays the supplier, with a price per type. With recycling of paper, plastic, wood or rubble, the company receives waste from a waste producer, often against payment, and a waste stream number, EWC code and acceptance go with every load. We have a separate page for scrap.

You record per stream and waste producer what is and is not allowed. At the weighing, the weigher sees what has been agreed, takes a photo, and approves, rejects or records a deviation, such as contamination. This goes onto the weighbridge ticket and can be charged on.

Yes. Because every weighing is linked to the waste producer, waste stream number and EWC code, the data for the monthly receipt notification is ready. How it reaches the reporting point is covered on our page on waste stream number integration.

Yes, that is usually the idea. Weighings go to the ERP for invoicing, and waste producers, agreements and rates come from the ERP. Which integration is needed depends on your package, and we look at it in the first step.

Yes. The weighbridge ticket can be sent by email or shown on a screen instead of on paper, and the waste producer can view their weighings in an overview, if you want that.

Check that first. Many weighing programs record the weight and the weighbridge ticket. Custom software makes sense when acceptance, waste stream numbers, photos and the integration with invoicing and reporting currently sit in separate systems or on paper.
