Building software for cleaning water discharge accountability
What is recorded on site has to become a watertight account at the office: per site, per client and per period, with the requirements that apply there. Appfront builds software for discharge accountability for cleaning water, in which field records, lab measurement results and disposal receipts come together in an overview you can show to a client or the competent authority.
What is software for discharge accountability of cleaning water?
Discharge accountability for cleaning water is about demonstrating what happened to the water released during cleaning: how much, with which agents in it, and whether it was discharged, collected or removed. Under the Environment and Planning Act (Omgevingswet), the discharge of industrial wastewater is governed by rules in the Activities Decree (Besluit activiteiten leefomgeving), sometimes supplemented by custom permit conditions or a permit from the municipality or water board. Water that may not be discharged is removed as waste.
The recording happens on site, by the crew or operator. The accountability report itself is compiled at the office, and that is where things often stall. Registrations sit in an app or on paper, test results arrive by email from the lab, disposal slips are with the administration, and the requirements for each site are in a folder. When a client or a regulator asks for an overview, it takes a day of searching to put one together.
We build custom software because every organisation has different sites, different substances and different requirements. A cleaning company working for dozens of clients has different needs from a factory with a single wash bay. Which agents you use, where you discharge, who removes the waste and what has to be measured determines how the software works.

How we build your software for discharge accountability of cleaning water
We start with your sites and requirements: where cleaning takes place, with which agents, what may be discharged, what has to be measured, and who wants to see which overview. Then we build a first version with the sites, the requirements and the registrations from the field, because that is where the foundation lies. You use it for a while at a few sites. Test results, disposal slips, alerts and reports follow once that goes well. After that, we maintain the software when requirements or sites change.

Why Appfront for your software for discharge accountability of cleaning water?
An overview that doesn't add up, a test result that can't be matched to a discharge or a disposal slip that has gone missing will be noticed by a client or a regulator. That is what we build around: the requirements, registrations, measurements and disposal for each site in one place, and a report that comes from the same data.
A complete overview
Every litre accounted for.
Less searching
Everything per site.
Warned in time
Before anyone else notices.
Security and privacy for software for discharge accountability of cleaning water
The software contains data about your clients' sites and processes. Access is set up per role and per client: a client only sees their own sites, and every registration and change is logged with a name and timestamp.
The software runs in a European data centre, with encrypted storage and daily backups. Registrations and reports are retained, so you can also show later what happened at a given moment.
Frequently asked questions about software for cleaning wastewater discharge accountability
Questions organisations ask before they get started.
Demonstrating what happened to the water released during cleaning: how much, with which cleaning agents in it, and whether it was discharged, collected or removed. Under the Dutch Environment and Planning Act (Omgevingswet), rules from the Activities Decree (Besluit activiteiten leefomgeving) apply, sometimes with custom requirements or a permit.
The app is for recording on site by the crew or operator. This software is for the office: the requirements per location, the test results, the removal notes and the reporting. They work well together, but the software can also process records from an existing app or from paper.
Yes. For each location you record which rules apply, which cleaning agents are permitted, what may be discharged and what must be measured. Every record and every measurement is checked against those requirements.
If the lab supplies the results digitally, we import them automatically and link them to the right location and discharge. If they arrive as a PDF, someone enters the values or we extract them. We look at which route fits in the first step.
The software compares every measurement and record with the location's requirements. If a limit is exceeded, the person responsible gets a notification, and the follow-up, such as additional collection or removal, is recorded alongside the entry.
Yes, if you want that. A client then gets their own environment with the accountability for their locations, so you no longer have to keep emailing reports. You decide exactly what they see.
For cleaning companies with many clients and locations, and for companies with multiple wash bays or cleaning processes and their own requirements. If you have a single wash bay with a simple permit, a well-kept logbook is often enough.
Are your discharges fully accounted for?
